Dale Barratt is the Managing Director and Senior Financial Planner at EKB Financial Advisers. 

Dale’s approach to advising clients it to provide them with care and knowledge, to build a trusted relationship that helps them meet their goals. 

Dale has over two decades of experience in personal financial planning. Over his career, he has worked with some of Australia’s most well-known financial services institutions including Tasmanian Perpetual Trustees, Commonwealth Bank, UniSuper and Australian Super. Dale has advised hundreds of clients over that time. He has helped them grow, manage and make the most of their investment and retirement savings.

Dale founded EKB Financial Advisers in 2024 with his wife Rachael. He wanted to deliver the kind of financial planning he felt clients deserved in an environment that reflected his own professional approach. His goal was driven by the desire to provide personal and bespoke advice relevant to a client’s specific situation and free from the conflicts that can exist between product providers and advice providers. As EKB Financial Advisers is privately owned, Dale feels freer to focus on what matters most to his financial planning clients and act in their best interests. 

Dale is a highly qualified adviser, holding a Master’s Degree in Financial Planning, Master’s Degree in Applied Finance and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration. Dale is recognised as a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) by the Financial Advice Association Australia. Dale has been a CFP® for 20 years. 

He is also an Accredited SMSF Specialist by the Self Managed Super Fund Association and an Accredited Aged Care Professional™ with Aged Care Steps.

When Dale isn’t working with clients, you’ll find him spending time with his family. Dale also enjoys the AFL, a nice glass of red and chasing errant golf balls!
